Dia de los Muertos Celebration

A Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration is planned in downtown Decatur on 2nd Avenue on Wednesday, November 2nd.
ACA is excited to partner with Decatur City Schools art educators and to host the Dia de los Muertos Youth Art Show!
In the Visual Arts building… on November 2 (only)
Main Gallery – featuring art by ACA students
Dia de los Muertos Youth Art Show by Decatur City Schools Students
November 2 – December 1, 2022
Walking Gallery & lobby – featuring 2D art and 3D art (ofrendas) by DCS high school, junior high school and middle school students
In the Performing Arts building… on November 2 (only)
Lobby – featuring 2D art and 3D art (ofrendas) by DCS elementary school students
In the evening, 5-9pm, there will be food trucks, music, make and take art activities and more taking place in downtown Decatur as the community celebrates Day of the Dead.
