Background: Dr. Johns taught elementary school art in the Tuscaloosa City School system before pursuing a Doctorate degree in Art Education. She then worked as the Curator of Education at The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts before returning home to work in art teacher preparation with Athens State.

Teaches: Dr. Johns teaches all Art Education courses in the Teacher Education Program in addition to a recurring studio art course on aesthetics for new art majors.
